Topnotcher in the Senate: A total of 345 Bills and Resolutions Filed
Senator Grace Poe has catapulted herself into the legislative spotlight and in the hearts of the Filipino people in 2013. In the 17th Congress, Senator Poe championed a total of 345 bills and resolutions on women and children, youth, economy and public services, health, education, employment and opportunities, information technology and business.
She ranked fourth in terms of number of bills introduced totalling  151 and filed the most number of resolutions in the Philippine Senate with 141 and co-authored 53 others, earning her the moniker as one of the Topnotchers in the Upper Chamber.
Senator Poe passed a total of 51 laws (including two statutes awaiting signature of the President.)
Poe’s Priorities: Feeding Program/Sustansya sa Batang Pilipino and First 1,000 Days
Senator Grace’s priority legislation is the feeding program institutionalized now under Republic Act No. 11037 or the Masustansyang Pagkain Para sa Batang Pilipino Act for undernourished children in public elementary school, kindergarten, and day care centers. The law mandates the provision of free meal for at least 120 days to undernourished children aged 3 to 5 years old in public day care centers, and to public school children from kindergarten to Grade 6. Around 4.2 million Filipino children is said to benefit from this law. This law will be fully implemented nationwide as funded in the 2019 Budget.  Ang nais ni Senadora Poe, sapat na pagkain para sa bawat batang Pilipino.
Another priority legislation is the First 1,000 Days Program. Senator Poe is among the pioneering authors of Republic Act No. 11148 or the Kalusugan at Nutrisyon ng Mag-Nanay Act that seeks to provide free check-ups and counselling for pregnant and lactating women, and free immunization and micronutrient supplementation for children aged 0 to 2 years old. Meaningful Laws: Free Mobile Disasters Alerts Act, Extension of Driver’s License and Passport Validity
Senator Grace Poe stewarded the passage of the mandatory free mobile alerts during calamities. She is the primary author of Republic Act No. 10639 or the Free Mobile Disaster Alerts Act that mandates telecommunications firms to send out disaster warning alerts to their subscribers.
Senator Poe sponsored Republic Act No. 10930 that extends the validity of driver’s license from three (3) to five (5) years, and those without infractions during those five (5) years may also be granted a 10-year license. She also sponsored Republic No. 10928 that extends the validity of Philippine passports from three (3) to 10 years.
Tulong Incentives para sa Fresh Graduates: Exempting Fresh Graduates from Paying for Government Documents

Senator Poe pushed for the passage of Senate Bill No. 1629 or the First Time Jobseekers Act. The bill exempts fresh graduates from paying fees for documents commonly required in job applications, including but not limited to police clearance, NBI clearance, Barangay clearance, and birth certificate. The would-be law is pending in the Office of the President for signature.

The Grace Poe “Trabaho” Provision in Franchise Laws:
Creating Employment, Jobs, Apprenticeships, and Opportunities

Since 2018, Senator Poe introduced a provision mandating various franchise holders of telecommunications, power and broadcasting entities to generate meaningful and gainful employment for the youth and for every Filipino. Ang nais ni Senadora Poe, trabaho, maraming trabaho para bawat Pilipino.

Free Wifi in Bus Terminals and Pit Stops, and
Easing Driver License Applications with new LTO Offices
Among the measures principally authored or sponsored by Senator Poe that are now laws are Republic Act No. 11035 or the recently signed Balik Scientist Act that provides incentives to Filipino experts and scientists; Republic Act No. 10905 or the Closed Caption Law that requires television stations and operators to broadcast closed captions in selected programs; Republic Act No. 10883 or the New Anti-Carnapping Law that penalizes carjacking as a non-bailable offense; and Republic Act No. 10640 that amended the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act specifically on the three-witness rule.
Senator Poe also pushed for the creation of more LTO offices, licensing centers to assure faster driver’s license issuance.
To be signed by the President, Senator Poe is also pushing for legislation mandating free wifi and free use of public restrooms in land transport terminals and rest areas.
Patuloy Poe ang Aksyon: Leading the Fight
Mayroon din siyang mga proyekto tulad ng Young Farmers Program para ma-engganyo ang mga kabataan sa agrikultura. Ito ay mahalaga dahil, ang average age ng Filipino farmers ngayon ay 57 years old.
At malaki rin ang naging ambag niya sa mga nangangailangan ng health assistance through medical guarantees sa mga pampublikong hospital sa bansa.
